Marcel Martin is founder and owner of Kariz Enterprises, LLC, a multi-entertainment and education business located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. Marcel began his career as a music producer. His entrepreneurial focus has been on bridging the gap between education and the music industry. He has done this through programs that have been developed under “Kariz Kids”. Marcel has almost a decade of experience working with youth in technical and creative environments. His start in the community began with doing small workshops in working for The Creative Alliance in 2006 and later becoming a music mentor for Unchained Talent in 2010. After witnessing the lack of experienced instructors and music producers in the schools, he decided to start Kariz Kids and officially introduced MATH+MUSIC=MONEY in 2012. He attended the Institute of Audio Research in New York, N.Y., received Youth Development Certification from The After School Institute in Baltimore and has received numerous awards in recognition of his work with youth, namely the Strictly Legend Award 2013 from Morgan State University and the Baltimore Crown Award 2012 from the Baltimore Scene Organization. Coining the phrase “Hit Records To Build Schools,” Marcel plans to create a pathway for entertainers to give back to the communities mostly in need and one day revolutionize the approach to education in urban communities.  Email: m.martin@karizkids.com.
